Evangelistic Postcards

For the past several years, our friends at On The Red Box have been on a tour of Spain. Their goal is to encourage, train and mobilize the church in all the provinces of Spain with the message of the Gospel. As they travel around each province they are creating short films of testimonies from people in those provinces to help communicate how Jesus impacts lives.

Another thing they are doing is creating postcards. On the front side of the postcard has an original drawing from each province. The back side shares the Gosple and has a QR code that links to the short film testimony from the province. This is proving very effective because just about everyone wants something with a drawing from the provence they were born or grew up in.

At the end of December, our friend Karen from On The Red Box reached out to me. She saw some of my illustration work on Facebook, and wanted to know if I could help create illustrations for their evangelistic postcards. At first, I was a little apprehensive about it because language school takes up a vast majority of my time, but I figured I’d give it a shot. Karen sent me three photographs they needed to be illustrated. So I started on the first illustration. It took me a few tries to get back into the swing of drawing in pen and ink.

This last week, I had time to finish the final of the three illustrations. The first is of Pont de Besalú in Girona, Spain. The second is from Plaza Mayor de Trujillo in Caceres, Spain. The third is the illustration of the Roman walls from Lugo in Galicia.

Below are the illustrations I drew for this amazing project. I am so happy to help create resources that are used to share the Gosple with Spaniards. Let us know in the comments below what you think.
