Crona and the Apple Tart

Crona and the Apple Tart

At the end of every week after spending hours upon hours in language school, I treat myself to a pastry of some sort. Along the 15-minute walk from class to my car, I pass by about a dozen Pastelería shops. So I decided to get some pastries to share with the fam. Normally, I photograph what I see in the Pastelería windows, but instead, I decided to photograph what I brought home.

The first pastry was the “Crona.” Almost the size of a football, this delicious pastry is made from a crispy croissant, stuffed with cream, and drizzled with chocolate. I think from the pictures below that C’s face says how delicious this thing was.

The second pastry is known as “Tarta de Manzana.” Aka an Apple Tart. This is made from flaky pastry dough, with a nice thick layer of what I can only call apple pie filling, and don’t forget the cherry on top. Just from the smell of this, I can tell it’s going to be delightful. But we are saving this one for after dinner.
